Inappropriate Stent Placement Resulting in a Coronary Slow-Flow: Case Report
نویسندگان
چکیده
A case of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is shown in the elderly patients with an ST-segment myocardial infarction. Stent deployment following the extensive thrombus aspiration resulted in a slow-flow phenomenon. Optical coherence tomography imaging showed a huge thin-capped fibro-atheroma encroaching the landing zone for stent placement. The author discusses possible factors involved in the development of the slowflow.

Effect of stenting on coronary flow velocity reserve: comparison of coil and tubular stents.
OBJECTIVE To determine whether coil stents are as effective as tubular stents in improving coronary flow velocity reserve (CFVR) after stent deployment. METHODS Distal CFVR was measured with a 0. 014 inch Doppler guide wire before and after stenting in 33 patients. A coil stent was implanted in 16 patients and a tubular stent was used in 17 patients. Coronary flow velocity within the stent wa...

The spontaneous dissection of the coronary arteries (SCAD) is rare and few data are available in the worldwide literature. Several diseases and conditions have been associated with SCAD, such as atherosclerosis, connective tissue disorders and the peripartum episode. Cocaine addiction is one of causes of the disease in young patients. In this paper we present a case report of a patient with a a...

Introduction: Renal transplantation has established itself as the treatment of choice for the majority of patients with End stage renal failure(ESRF). Arterial stenosis is the most common vascular complication after kidney transplantation, occurring in approximately 4%-25% of transplant recipients. Case Report: The patient is a 68 year old man with ESRF due to Poly cystic kidney disease(PCK...
متن کاملOptimal Stent Expansion by Stent Balloon Multiple Inflation at Nominal Pressure in Resistant Lesions: A New Technique
Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of four-time inflation of the stent balloon at nominal pressure on optimal stent expansion in resistant lesions. Materials and Methods: This interventional study was conducted on 39 patients with coronary artery lesions, in whom Zotarolimus-eluting stents (N=20), Paclitaxel-eluting stents (N=11) and other stents (N=8) were deployed four tim...
